Obama urges Palestinians to return to negotiations table

US President Barack Obama on Tuesday urged the Palestinians to avoid unilateral moves and return to the negotiations table.

Speaking at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Obama called on the Palestinians to abandon their bid for UN recognition of a Palestinian state. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
