Knesset speaker asks Russia to approve Syria condemnation

Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin asked the Russian ambassador to relay a message to his government, asking that it remove its objection to a UN condemnation of Syria for its brutal crackdown on anti-government protests.
"Syria's actions are in total negation to the values of the free world. Not everything is politics. This issue transcends the national interests of all sides. It is a joint interest shared by all free states," Rivlin said. (Moran Azulay)
