PA: We'll submit membership request to UN next month
Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki declared that the Palestinian Authority will submit a membership request to United Nations Secretary-General Ben Ki-moon next month.
After meeting with Spain's general consul in Jerusalem, al-Maliki stressed that the request was the first step toward a bid to seek UN recognition of Palestinian statehood in 1967 borders. (Elior Levy, Ynet's Palestinian affairs correspondent)
