Berlusconi being urged to issue statement with Netanyahu

State officials said that Israel is urging Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to issue a joint statement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who departed for Italy on Sunday.
It is estimated that Rome will continue to oppose Palestinian unilateral steps. Italy, Germany and the US all oppose the Palestinian UN recognition bid. (Attila Somfalvi)
