Punishment hearing begins in Rose Pizem murder trial

The Petah Tikvah District Court has began the argumentation phase for the punishment of Ronny Ron - who was convicted of murdering his granddaughter Rose Pizem - and Marie Pizem, the girl's mother, who is convicted of soliciting to murder.

Ron's lawyers are expected to present a new defense strategy, which claims that his training as a martial arts expert turned the blow that he gave the girl lethal. (Yoav Zitun)
