Council okays land for mass burial sites

The National Council for Planning and Building has approved a plan that would allocate land for temporary mass burial sites in case a mass casualty event takes place in Israel.

"Israel is located on the Great Rift Valley," the council said in a statement. "Severe earthquakes are expected to occur, which might cause a mass disaster that will included thousands of fatalities." (Ynet)
