Jordan's king: Elected PM in 2-3 years

Jordan's king says it will take two to three years before the country's fragmented political parties are ready to elect a prime minister and Cabinet.
Abdullah II is taking a further step to explain his vision of political reform in Jordan, two days after making a major concession to citizens for sharing power. On Sunday, Abdullah agreed to allow Jordan's prime minister to be elected from a parliamentary majority instead of being appointed by the king - a main demand of pro-democracy activists. (AP)
