Afghan militants attack Pakistani village; 5 dead

A government official says more than 200 militants who crossed into Pakistan from Afghanistan attacked a border village, killing five people.
Sajid Khan says the militants attacked the village in the Bajur tribal region early Thursday morning using mortars, rockets and machine guns. He says the Pakistani military responded from a nearby base and fighting was ongoing. (AP)
