The Hadera Magistrates' Court has ordered the state to compensate the family of Khaled Tantawi, a 13-year old boy who died as a result of IDF fire in 2005 at a Nablus refugee camp.
The court determined that the IDF fired negligently and that soldiers violated safety procedures, and ordered the state to pay NIS 20,000 ($5,860) as well as attorney fees and other compensation to be determined later. (Raanan Ben-Zur)
