Police probe Fire Dept. response to Netanya gas leak

Residents of the building where a major blast occurred Thursday night due to gas leak said that they contacted the municipality and Fire Services on the night before the blast and complained that they smelled gas.
Sources within the Fire and Rescue Services claimed that the first time their received a complaint municipality inspectors cancelled their visit saying that the problem had been fixed. The Netanya municipality said in response that "we are unaware of the incident. There is a lot of speculation, the police will investigate everything." (Eli Senyor)
