Report: US consul told Grapel he was in 'big trouble'

The US consul in Cairo met with Ilan Grapel, the Israeli-American arrested in Egypt over suspicions he is an Israeli spy and told him that he was in "big trouble" Egypts al-Ahram newspaper reported Friday.
According to the report, during his stay in Egypt, Grapel sought to extend his visa writing on the request form that he was a Muslim who came to Egypt to study. (Roee Nahmias)
