French FM slams Syria for human rights violations

French Foreign Affairs Minister Alain Juppe has slammed Iran for human rights violations and urged the authorities "to release all those arbitrarily arrested."

In an interview with French newspaper Le Monde, Juppe said: "The state of human rights continued to deteriorate over the past two years. The use of arrests, abuse and torture of prisoners has escalated." (AFP)
