French Embassy convoy hit by bomb in Baghdad

Iraqi police say a roadside bomb has exploded near a French Embassy convoy traveling through downtown Baghdad. Police officials said that four Iraqi guards working for a private security company employed by the embassy were wounded in the blast Monday morning. Three bystanders were also injured.
A hospital official confirmed the casualties. It was not immediately known whether any French expatriate staff were in the convoy when the bomb exploded. (AP)
