Police: Gas blast probe could take a year

Commander says Netanya explosion that killed four a 'puzzle', no definite timeframe for investigation

Last Friday three teenage girls and one restaurant employee were killed in a tragic gas blast indowntown Netanya and now police have revealed that the complex investigation into the blast could take a year.
Hasharon Sub-district Police Commander Brigadier-General Shimon Shomroni said "I don't know when the investigation will be complete – maybe a week or two, maybe a year or more."
According to the police commander, "this explosion is a puzzle." At a press briefing Shomroni said that police will interrogate both the building residents and the restaurant employees at the scene, along with others.
The two suspects ,Daniel Yisrael and Rahamim (Rami) Gueta are still in police custody. Gueta who is suspected of stealing metal and iron pipes is being held for manslaughter and theft and gas technician Israel is being held for manslaughter and negligent homicide.
