Philippine troops have captured five suspected Muslim militants in a raid on their jungle hideout on a restive southern island.
Army spokesman Maj. Harold Cabunoc says no fighting was reported as troops swept down on the Basilan Island encampment early Wednesday. They followed a tip from a suspect arrested last week who said three Filipino hostages were being held by militants. (AP)
