Hamas senior official Mahmoud al-Zahar said that the Israeli government's decision to aggravate Palestinian prisoner confinement conditions is a "brutal breach of international and humanitarian law".
"The move is meant to cover Netanyahu's part in causing the (Shalit) deal to fail," he added. "The only solution for achieving Shalit's release is a deal that would fulfill Palestinian demands and put paid to the prisoner issue". (Roee Nahmias)
