UN: Let Shalit family have contact with Gilad

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday called for the immediate release of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.

“The United Nations on the ground will continue to support the conclusion of negotiation efforts to secure his release, which would also entail the release of a number of Palestinian prisoners,” Ban said in a statement, adding that the Shalit family should be able to contact their son.
