Defense Ministry denies claims Barak accepted Hamas terms for swap deal

The office of Defense Minister Ehud Barak has denied accusations made by the grandfather of the captive soldier Gilad Shalit, Zvi Shalit, who claimed that Barak has accepted Hamas' position on the swap deal.
"Contrary to publications, the defense minister did not accept Hamas' position regarding the terms of the deal," an office official said. "As Barak said many times before, something must be done to free Gilad, but not at any cost." (Attila Somfalvi)
