US Human trafficking report: Israel shares spot with Rwanda, Pakistan

"The Government of Israel does not fully comply with the minimum standards for the elimination of human trafficking," states the US State Department Trafficking in Persons Report.

 

The report classified Israel in tier 2, defined as "countries whose governments do not fully comply with the minimum standards but are making significant efforts to bring themselves into compliance with those standards. Other countries in tier 2 include Rwanda, Pakistan, Senegal and Sierra Leone. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
