Knesset report finds firefighting planes lacking
None
The firefighting plane squadron established at a price of millions of dollars following the Carmel fire disaster may not be capable of extinguishing large-scale flames, a Knesset report obtained by Ynet found.
The report says the planes cannot be used at night and that pilots have not yet been trained. In addition, extinguishing materials are not in sufficient supply in Israel. (Moran Azulay)
