US Senate votes to halt Palestinian aid in case of UN bid

The US Senate approved a bill that will halt aid to the Palestinian Authority if it continues its efforts at gaining UN support for its September statehood declaration.
The bill was approved by 89n senators, with none objecting. A similar bill is scheduled to come up in Congress soon. (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
