Hamas official: No regional, foreign mediator on Shalit deal
Hamas spokesman Salah Bardawil claimed there is no regional or foreign figure mediating between Israel and Hamas on the issue of captive IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. Bardawil addressed the reports that Germany is no longer the mediator and that Turkey was trying to take its place.
Bardawil also mentioned there is currently no advancement on a swap deal, claiming Israel has not yet responded to the terms and demands set by Hamas. (Elior Levy)
