VIDEO - New footage found online Monday attests to the cruelty of the Syrian crackdown on anti-government protests, showing forces loyal to President Bashar Assad sniping at protesters, the Guardian reports.
Meanwhile a Syrian human rights organization has reported two civilian deaths in a Damascus suburb, saying they were shot by the forces.

The footage was filmed by a young man in Homs. In the background sounds gunfire can be heard ricocheting through the streets, and a few seconds later a sniper appears, aims his weapon at the cameraman, and apparently shoots him dead.
As he begins filming, the cameraman describes "someone shooting at citizens in Karm al-Sham on 1 July without any reason and no demonstrations."
The camera appears to be aimed from the top floor of a building. A man appears, wearing a green uniform, and fires in the direction of the camera, and immediately afterwards groans and mumbled cries for help ensue.
The cameraman remains unidentified, and the footage uncorroborated as foreign journalists have been banned from Syria.
Meanwhile, Turkish officials have told the London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat that their country has arrested three Syrian intelligence agents, including one woman.
The officials say the agents were attempting to infiltrate Turkey along with a group of Syrian refugees.
