Greek Coast Guard stops Gaza-bound Tahrir
For the second time in four days, one of the Gaza flotilla boats docked in Greece has made an attempt to leave port but was stopped by the Greek Coast Guard. The boat involved – Tahrir sailed from Crete Monday afternoon but was stopped after a few minutes.
At around 6pm the activists on board the Canadian boat announced that they had left port. A few minutes, when they were five kilometers off shore they reported that a Greek Coast Guard ship was chasing them and was drawing near. They later reported that the Coast guard boarded their ship.
