Shas opposes Sunday vacation

Interior Minister Eli Yishai said his party, Shas, would object to declaring Sunday an add-on to the current Israeli weekend. He said the party's spiritual leader, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, opposes the move.
On Monday Shas MKs backed the initiative, saying it would allow religious people to make use of a vacation day while still observing the Sabbath. (Ynet)
