Cargo plane crashes in northern Afghanistan

A cargo aircraft chartered by foreign troops crashed in northern Afghanistan late on Tuesday, but it was not immediately clear if there were any casualties, Afghan provincial officials said on Wednesday.

The plane was not an aircraft belonging to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, a spokesman for the force said. (Reuters)
