The Caesar Hotel in Tiberias was evacuated Wednesday night because of a gas leak scare which injured 11 people.
Emergency teams evacuated some 500 guests from the hotel and traced the source of the leak – pepper spray belonging to Border Guard officers on location. Police are currently examining whether the pepper spray leaked after the officers played with it.

One injured man suffered from chest pains and is in moderate condition, the rest were lightly injured.
Tiberias firefighters alerted to the scene searched the hotel and evacuated the guests in order to track down the source of the gas leak and its substance, until finally discovering the leaking pepper spray container in the Border Guard officers' room on the 10th floor.
The hotel administration said they plan to file a complaint to investigate the issue, as forces neglected to suggest the leak could have actually been caused by pepper spray rather then dangerous gas or some other hazardous substance.
Some 500 guests who were evacuated earlier were permitted to return to their rooms after emergency teams made sure the hotel was safe once again. Those injured were immediately taken to Poriya Hospital in the city.
