Senior Croatian general arrested
Croatian police say they have arrested the country's senior army commander Gen. Mladen Kruljac on corruption charges. They say Kruljac, who has commanded Croatia's army ground troops since 2007, was detained Friday. No details of the charges were released.
Kruljac is the highest-ranked military officer to be arrested in Croatia since it proclaimed independence from Yugoslavia 20 years ago. (AP)
