Father of soldier killed in Shalit kidnapping slams 'intelligence failure'

None

David Barak, the father of Lieutenant Hanan Barak, who was killed during the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit in Kerem Shalom, says that the abduction was the result of an intelligence failure rather than an operational failure.

"I can say with 100% certainty that six hours before the incident, the Shin Bet warned the Military Intelligence Directorate about a location and method, and this warning did not reach the forces on the ground," Barak said. "I want to know why," he demanded. (Ilana Curiel)
