State sources: Gov't unfamiliar with content of Quartet declaration

State sources said that the Israeli government does not know what the Quartet intends to announce following its Monday meeting. Other elements said that ministers Ehud Barak and Dan Meridor have spoken out against dismissing the announcement in the case that it calls for the renewal of the negotiations with the Palestinians.
The seven ministers' forum discussed a possible response to the Quartet declaration on Sunday. Elements estimate that it will ask for renewed peace talks and a settlement construction freeze. (Attila Somfalvi)
