Some 200 people, mainly Israeli-French citizens and French tourists, protested in front of the Red Cross offices in Tel Aviv, in demand that the organization obtains a sign of life from kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.
The head of the Red Cross delegation in Israel hosted several of the protesters in his office and received a letter in which they stated their request. Following the meeting, the protesters said the delegation head told them all past requests have been turned down by Hamas. (Ahiya Raved)
