F-16 jet hits tree before landing, training flights halted

An F-16 "Barak" fighter jet hit a treetop Thursday during its descent for landing at the Ramat David base. The pilot managed to land the plane safely in spite of the incident.

 

Following the incident, Air Force Commander Brigadier General Edo Nehoshtan directed that all training flights be halted until Sunday. (Hanan Greenberg)
