Dutch media reported Saturday that a recent win by EBS, a subsidiary of Israeli bus company Egged, in a bid to operated bus lines has irked local pro-Palestinian groups.
EBS won a public transportation tender for the Waterland region, just north of Amsterdam, but the "Working Together for Palestine" action group claims letting the company operate bussed will be "perceived as an act of support in West Bank settlements."

A group activist told Radio Netherlands Worldwide that "Egged supports the Israeli government's settlement policy and is profiting from the trampling of Palestinians' rights."
The group stressed that is does not initiate a boycott of Egged services in Waterland for the sole reason that there is no other alternative bus service in the area.
An EBS statement said that the company does not get involved in politics and that it employs Dutch bus drivers.
