Egypt PM picks 2 deputies ahead of cabinet change

None

Prime Minister Essam Sharaf has picked a leader of one of Egypt's oldest political parties and an economist to be his deputies as part of a planned cabinet reshuffle, the state MENA news agency said on Saturday.

Sharaf has been consulting with politicians on the reshuffle he promised last week after Egyptians resumed protests in central Cairo to press for faster reforms and a speedy trial of former President Hosni Mubarak, ousted in a popular uprising in February. (Reuters)
