Lieberman protests against 'de-legitimization'

Ahead of Sunday's cabinet meeting, Foreign Minister and Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman Avigdor Lieberman complained over what he calls "the attempt to de-legitimize the Yisrael Beiteinu party and the inquiry commission initiative." He mentioned Prime Minister Netanyahu's opposition to launching an inquiry committee against left wing movements.
"I have high regard for the prime minister which is why I was surprised when he said the Knesset shouldn't investigate. During the last tenure 25 parliamentary inquiry committees were launched. The Likud and the prime minister supported them all enthusiastically. They even supported Ahmad Tibi's initiative to examine Israeli Arabs in the public service," Lieberman claimed. (Ronen Medzini)
