Police: J'lem fire vicinity residents can resume normal activity

Residents of neighborhoods in the Jerusalem Forest vicinity can now resume normal activity, the Jerusalem District Police said. The roads surrounding the fire site will remain closed until Monday, for fear that the fire retardant materials dropped by the firefighting planes might cause cars to slip.

The fire and rescue services will remain active on the scene for the night, in case the flames reignite. (Yair Altman)
