Housing Minister: Housing prices in Tel Aviv to remain high

None

Construction and Housing Minister Ariel Atias has addressed the popular protest against the escalating housing costs, saying that "in Tel Aviv, the high housing prices will remain high because we don't have any land. But there is a solution – to live around it, like it happens in all of the capitals in the world.

"The protest that is taking place is legitimate and just," he added during a Knesset plenum session. "But anyone expecting a 50% reduction in rent or housing prices is fooling himself and others. My suggestion is simple: Move over a little bit." (Moran Azulay)
