China executes 2 former officials for bribery

Two former vice majors in eastern China who were convicted of bribery have been executed.
China's official Xinhua News Agency says Xu Maiyong and Jiang Renjie were executed Tuesday morning. Xu of Hangzhou city in Zhejiang province was convicted of bribery, embezzlement and abuse of power and sentenced to death in May. (AP)
