MK Eichler: Haredim support housing protest

MK Yisrael Eichler (United Torah Judaism) on Tuesday visited the housing protest encampment on Rothschild Street in Tel Aviv and expressed his support of the struggle against housing prices.
Eichler thanked protestors: "On behalf of the nation of Israel we thank you for your righteous struggle," he said while stating that the haredi public would not be going out to protest in the streets "as it would cause the struggle to lose legitimacy. It is better that the struggle be conducted in Tel Aviv while we continue our active protest in the Knesset, but not on the streets." (Roi Kais)
