Parks Authority: Let's turn 20% of territorial waters into nature reserves

The Israel Nature and Parks Authority has recommended turning 20% of Israel's territorial waters into nature reserves. The authority has released a document mapping out all of the seabeds and beaches within Israel's territory.
"Over the last few decades the sea floor has become a bed for cables and pipes, and the sea has become a receptacle for industrial and desalination materials and sewage," the document read. (Yael Darel)
