MK Tibi petitions High Court against Knesset speaker

MK Ahmad Tibi (United Arab List-Ta'al) has petitioned the High Court of Justice against Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, demanding the latter explain why he canceled a Knesset debate on a bill offered by Tibi. The bill withdraws funds from organizations that deny the Palestinian 'Nakba'.
Tibi claims the decision constitutes an overstepping of authority on Rivlin's part. (Aviad Glickman)
