Nigeria: 2 hurt in clash with Muslim sect

A Nigerian official said a clash with a radical Muslim sect has wounded a sect member and a bystander in the country's restive northeast.
Lt. Col. Mohammed Hassan says the exchange started after assailants from the Boko Haram sect set off a bomb Thursday evening near a patrol car in Maiduguri. He said there were no casualties from the blast, but that Boko Haram members shot at a civilian. They then fled, carrying away a wounded sect member. (AP)
