Some 200 Iranian Parliament members released a statement condemning the assassination of an Iranian man, saying that such operations only empower the Islamic Republic's "resistance" against its enemies. According to the statement, the assassination "shows yet again that the United States and the Zionist regime have given up on all the methods to hurt the Islamic Republic, and they take cowardly actions due to their weakness."
It was initially reported that the assassinated man was Darioush Rezaie, a nuclear scientist, but the authorities denied the report, claiming that an engineering student was the one who was killed. (Dudi Cohen)
