Both the heads of the Yesha Council and the Binyamin Regional Council were involved in the discussions. Binyamin Regional Council Head Avi Roeh met in secret with the defence minister three weeks ago in order to find a peaceful solution to the issue.
Barak asked Roeh if he had any other solutions that would prevent a forced eviction of the structures, in accordance with a High Court injunction, but the meeting ended without an agreement.
Since that meeting, Roeh has been in constant contact with the minister's closest advisors yet the sides have yet to find any agreed upon solution that would prevent the removal. "We have in fact agreed on an outline for a solution to the Migron structure issue that is acceptable to us and the government decision makers," said Yesha Council Head Danny Dayan.
"All we need now is the decision making factor in order to end this affair amicably. Without it we will end up taking the aggressive route and that would be a tragedy."
