2 killed in Iranian shelling near Iraqi border
Officials from Iraq's semiautonomous Kurdish region say Iranian shelling of a border area has killed two Iraqi civilians and wounded three others.
Ahmed Qadir, the mayor of Sidkan near the frontier, said Monday the shelling overnight struck his town for four hours. Sidkan is located in Irbil province about 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the Iraq-Iran border. (AP)
