A New York fire department is donating a piece of the former World Trade Center to a Newfoundland town for its help after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The Newfoundland town of Gander on Canada's Atlantic coast was the closest airport for 38 passenger planes forced to land there. (AP)
