High Court rejects soldiers' appeal over Jenin Jenin

The High Court on Wednesday rejected an appeal submitted by IDF soldiers who fought in Operation Defensive Shield in Jenin and ruled that they would not be able to receive libel compensation from Mohammed Bakri director of the movie Jenin Jenin.
The judges ruled that "attributing the acts depicted to IDF soldiers is one of the harshest allegations that can be thrown at a person and puts them in the same place as the ultimate war criminal," but decided to reject the appeal over the Haifa District Court's decision. (Aviad Glickman)
