Last week saw an escalation in rocket fire from Gaza. Three rockets exploded south of Ashkelon and in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council last week. There were no injuries.
The IDF responded by striking various targets in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinians recently reported that IAF jets threw fliers over Gaza. The Hamas-affiliated "Palestine" daily claimed the fliers warned residents not to approach the border fence.
It was also claimed some fliers called locals to reports arms smugglers in the area. The IDF denied the claims.
