Jerusalem: Tent protesters march with gay pride parade
Jerusalem's tent protest movement has united with the GLBT community Thursday, joining the gay pride parade. The reinforced march began at Independence Park and continued towards the Knesset region, where activists have set up camp in protest against the escalating housing prices. Following the parade, a rally is to be held at the nearby Wohl Rose Park. Various MKs and other public figures are expected to speak.
The organizers of the parade anticipated thousands of people to take part in the march. some 20 ultra-Orthodox and right-wing activists remonstrated against the event. (Omri Efraim)
