Lebanon's Hezbollah denied Thursday helping Bashar Assad's regime crush the popular revolt that has been taking place in Syria since March 15.
"Hezbollah strongly denied Syrian opposition members' accusations that it helped to quell demonstrations in Syria," the organization said in a statement. According to Hezbollah, the charges were politically motivated and designed to help the West interfere in Syria's internal affairs. (AFP)
